Dr Shivkumar Utture, executive member of MCI said, “There are already four forums available to relieve the complainants grievances, namely Maharashtra medical council, consumer court, civil court and if any criminality is involved then there is the police station, where complainants can get justice.Suggestions for complaintsThe body suggested that complaints be registered with the state medical council and that an FIR be filed.” “My heart goes out to these patients, but as per the rules, we can enquire about alleged violation of human rights only against public bodies,” he added. The commission will submit its suggestions to the Medical Council of India (MCI) and its state bodies with the kinesiology tape  observation made during the hearings. And when he comes a specialist, we can’t post him to a rural primary health centre. “The ambit and scope of term ‘medical negligence’ should be defined properly. That’s why there are vacancies in PHCs,” said Dr Satish Pawar, director, health service.Med groups flay NHRC hearing of negligence casesSeveral medical bodies, including the Medical Council of India (MCI) have flayed NHRC’s hearing of medical negligence cases. But cases that are already registered with courts cannot be entertained by the NHRC. Also, it is observed that patients are unnecessarily referred to private hospitals, he added. He also highlighted the need to address issues such as shortage of doctors and absence of hospitals in rural areas, inadequate number of drugs, and behavioural problems of doctors.”It is not correct to subject a medical doctor to investigation and harassment simultaneously by the police, consumer court, NHRC court and the ethics committee of medical council, and this is why we are mulling to file a writ petition to challenge such hearings, Jayant Lele, president of IMA-Maharashtra Chapter said.In these two days, 88 cases were heard out of the 106 registered complaints of medical negligence. The much-awaited public hearing of the National Human Right Commission (NHRC) concluded on Thursday but many complainants of medical negligence cases had to go back home empty-handed after the body.

The entire construct is attached to a transparent medical tape to form a flexible bandage less than 3 mm thick. Non-healing chronic wounds are a significant medical problem."The smart bandage we created, with pH and temperature sensors and antibiotic drug delivery, is really a prototype for a wide range of possibilities," said Sonkusale. We are simply applying modern technology to an ancient art in the hopes of improving outcomes for an intractable problem," said Sonkusale.Inflammation could also be tracked not just by heat, but by specific biomarkers as well.
A microprocessor reads the data from the sensors and can release drug on demand from its carriers by heating the gel."In fact, flexible electronics have made many wearable medical devices possible, but bandages have changed little since the beginnings of medicine. With the idea of providing an assist to the natural healing process, the researchers at Tufts University in the US designed the kinesiology tape bandages with heating elements and thermoresponsive drug carriers that can deliver tailored treatments in response to embedded pH and temperature sensors that track infection and inflammation.
The research is aimed at transforming bandaging from a traditionally passive treatment into a more active paradigm. Normal healing wounds fall within the range of pH 5.Non-healing chronic wounds are a significant medical problem. Chronic skin wounds from burns, diabetes, and other medical conditions can overwhelm the regenerative capabilities of the skin and often lead to persistent infections and amputations.5 to 6.The pH of a chronic wound is one of the key parameters for monitoring its progress
